Toomuchdata! I've been inputting addresses into my Outlook all morning. My eyes are doing loopdy-loos around my fingers, I was never meant to be a secretary.

Let's talk newsThe two American Aid workers, held captive in Afghanistan for 3 months were set free yesterday. If you'll all recall they were in jail for preaching Christianity, in a non-Christian country whose government has made no bones about hating Christians. I'm glad they're free, and I wish them well. However, I must say that I hope next time, they (and all of the other aid organizations) obey the laws of the land they're in. If it's against the law to proselytize, then DON'T, end of story! When you're abroad you must respect the laws of the country you're in, because, your rights and civil liberties as an American do not follow you where ever you go.

Dateline-PHOENIX. Our wonderful, competent, all-knowing Legislature is in special session to solve the latest political fiasco, BUDGET CRUNCH!! Like, the budget is going to be short 1.6 billion dollars. When there is a special session, don't you think that it would behoove the legislators to work on the problem instead of creating more problems? You would think. Oh no, besides wanting to cut school funding, one senator wants to create some sort of new state health care agency to deal with bio-terrorism, cost 3 million dollars, this is on top of the 1 million appropriated for a remodel of the governor's office. Hello, am I hearing this right? You want to cut money for schools, to create a program for a non-problem. Let's face it, Phoenix, is not high on the bio-terrorism list. There's nothing here worth destroying. There is no one here worth infecting with anything. Why are we talking about this? Oh wait, the monkeys took over the monkey house a long time ago.

Nintendo Game Cube vs. Microsoft X-Box? No contest, it's Atari 2600 or nothing. We all know that Pac-Man rules!

Have you heard about this Harry Potter fellow? Apparently he's got some sort of BIG MOVIE coming out this weekend. It's full of fun stuff for kids, imagination tweaking effects, great story full of good guys and bad guys etc., oh and "witchcraft, wizardry and meduimship." Apparently this has scared some people into thinking that their kids are going to go all psyco on them after seeing this movie. I have two things to say on this. One, watch the movie with your kids, and talk about it. Maybe do this with the TV shows they watch, and the books they read too. You might end up having a good relationship with your kids. Second, LIGHTEN UP!! It's only a movie, not the end of the world. We're living the end of the world on the nightly news, one movie about a kid with magical powers isn't going to make junior switch to the dark side.

I saw a commercial for the Mac iPod yesterday on TV. I-pod is some sort of music downloading, portable, music player. The commercial showed some kid transferring music off of his hard drive to the iPod and dancing off into the sunset. On the very bottom of the screen in teeny-tiny little letters is this admonition, "Don't steal music." It's like the tobacco companies having Joe Camel tell kids not to smoke, (even though Joe makes it look totally cool). Put that ad in the pile with the "Please enjoy Budweiser responsibly" and "Please play Lotto responsibly (even though we want you to be irresponsible because that means more $$ for us)." Sure ok, whatever. I think those ad-exs must be AWOL from our State Legislature.

Happy Birthday today to Judge Wapner (82), Sam Waterson aka Jack McCoy on Law & Order (61) and Frida (56), if you recall she's on of the "As" in ABBA.

Today's strategy: Polite, but ambivalent; kind, but cool.

Read ya'll tomorrow~~Eden.
